In order to improve adoption, key point is around branding, being able to use port ( even saas ) via a custom domain like port.mydomain.com, or dev-portal.mydomain.com can help tremendously on internal adoption

This would be a huge help. I think its not just about branding/naming but also about giving our users confidence in the tooling as officially part of the organization or platforms we are building. Also helps separate orgs by environment more clearly, etc.

A custom domain would be ideal. A port subdomain by tenant may be reasonable as well. e.g. mydomain.port.io., mydomain-dev.port.io

Being able to name your IDP helps to personalize it (not just "Acme's IDP" but "Acme's DevHub"). Could also help with distinguishing from dev and prod environments

We are planning to bring port into our eco-system of 1500 developers and having this feature will help as redirect users via internal endpoint like developer.mydemain.com or idp.mydomain.com
