When an integration fails to transform incoming metadata into an entity, it can be difficult to understand why and fix the issue without re-ingesting the entire data set. For failed metadata, this could be cached and allow for RCA to be performed, then remedied. Rather than having to re-run the ingestion, the entity can now be pulled from cache.
